Second Helmstedt – Move7

1400-1500 1 August 1813

French have taken a battering and are about to start withdrawing to the farm

3rd Prussian corps will take some time to rally before they can advance again

Blucher is about to take command of 4th corps in the centre

1st corps on the right is too weak to advance without support

Artillery fire (7) on enemy artillery and miss

Unable to take any further action on Hold orders

VI French corps

Marshal Marmont (Average) – Retire to T Junction – 5CP

Artillery fire (2) on 16 Prussian and miss

Marmont moves to command range (8”) of cavalry

Cavalry form column and retire 7” towards main position

Marmont moves to command range (8”) of artillery

Test morale (3) for Routed 22 brigade, pass and become Shaken

Game Notes

CinC can take command of any corps, but once he has done so he can only issue orders to that corps.

The balance of CinC CP can be used to issue orders to the corps

To take command from a Poor commander takes 3CP, and the same to hand back command.
